Officers will give an insight into Operation Sentinel and the work being done by the force to reduce anti-social behaviour such as street drinking, drug dealing, prostitution and nuisance behaviour.

Sergeant Richard Cunningham said: “Op Sentinel works hard to tackle anti-social behaviour and related crimes. It’s vital to us to work closely with our communities to know the key issues that need to be addressed in different areas of the county.

“We want to reassure everyone that we are treating all reports of crimes seriously and will continue to crack down on offenders.”

Residents will also be able to get crime reduction advice and important safety tips.

Operaton Sentinel was launched last year and led by chief inspector Sean Quinn, who said: “If it’s an issue that matters to our communities, then it matters to us, and this new initiative will see us really clamp down on those causing these issues.

“Anti-social behaviour is never acceptable, and the Operation Sentinel team will provide a high visibility presence, carrying out targeted policing patrols in whatever community is affected by it.”
