Cowabunga! Fundraiser for cancer charity

Caped crusaders from Houghton Regis helped raise a whopping £102,000 for Prostate Cancer UK during a superhero and villain-themed car rally from Northampton to St Tropez.

The event was organised by draining solution company Keyline and Lee Hudson, 41, and Jordan Webb, 28, of suppliers GRS Bagging joined 24 teams who covered more than 1,000 miles on the charity challenge.

Jordan said it had been a great experience and added: “Although you go into it thinking it will be a nice break, the long drives really do test you.

“It was a pleasure to be a part of such a fantastic event and we are proud to support a great charity which works hard to raise awareness of prostate cancer.”

Keyline formed a partnership with Prostate Cancer UK in 2010 and so far has raised more than £1.32 million.

The charity’s James Beeby said: “Despite our car not quite making it back to the UK, the rally was a phenomenal success and I want to thank everyone who took part.”
