19-year-old arrested after two men stabbed in Bury Park

A 19-year-old has been arrested after two men were stabbed in Bury Park in the early hours of this morning.

Police were called at around 2.35am after a man had been found with apparent stab wounds on Dunstable Road, Luton, following an attack in nearby Kingsway Recreation Ground.

Officers attended and found a second man in the park with similar wounds.

Both men were taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries

The 19-year-old from Luton arrested in connection with the incident is currently in police custody.

DC Gary Hatton said: “This was a very nasty attack and luckily the injuries the two men sustained aren’t believed to be life threatening.

“We will not tolerate any kind of knife crime and we do all we can to tackle those who use weapons to cause fear or harm to others.
