Armed robbers wearing surgical masks and latex gloves raid Luton shop

Police are investigating after a pair of health-conscious armed robbers raided a post office in Luton

At around 11.30am yesterday (Tuesday), two men wearing surgical masks and latex gloves entered the store in Dunstable Road, Luton.

The men produced a knife and threatened the store owner before jumping over the counter and taking cash from the till.

Detective Constable Richard Marshall, investigating, said: “This was a terrifying incident for the shop owner.

“We are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time, who may have seen these men, or who has information about this incident.

“We believe the men made off towards Hayhurst Road and we are keen to hear from anyone who may be able to help us with our enquiries.”
