Beds Police open '˜cohesion meeting room' in Bury Park

Beds Police has said that a new meeting room in Bury Park will give residents the chance to have more face-to-face time with officers.

On Monday chief constable Jon Boutcher joined officers and representatives from Luton Culture to open the room at Bury Park Community Centre, which will be used for meetings between neighbourhood teams and members of the public.

The room, provided by Luton Culture, will give officers greater visibility in the community, Beds Police has said.

Officers will not be based at the site and it will be used for pre-arranged meetings only.

Mr Boutcher said: “It is a great pleasure to work in partnership with Luton Culture and to have this facility at the heart of the community.

“I’m delighted to open this room which I’m sure will be a useful tool to really engage with local communities.”
