‘Dangerous’ duo hunted after shop raid

Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery in Luton on Friday, October 9.

At approximately 7am two black men entered the Nisa shop in Axe Close armed with weapons. They threatened staff before stealing cash and cigarettes.

The two men then ran away towards Lygeton Drive and got into a black car, believed to be a Toyota Aventis.

One man is described as wearing a light grey hooded top and carrying a JD sports bag while the second man was wearing a black top. Both had scarves around their faces.

Det Con Rachel Lydon, investigating, said: “This was understandably a traumatic experience for the staff and it’s important we identify these dangerous individuals as soon as possible, so I’m urging witnesses to come forward.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Det Con Lydon on 101, text 07786 200 011, or call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
