An 18-year-old man from Luton was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, as well as theft of a motor vehicle.

Sergeant Barry Smith said: “My team plays a key role on the front line of tackling the illegal drugs market.

“Drugs are a scourge on our society. Most firearms discharges in Bedfordshire are linked to the illegal drugs trade, as are many stabbings.

“Vulnerable drug addicts can be exploited through the illegal sex industry or cuckooing, with drugs driving much of the burglary and anti-social behaviour which blights our communities.”
