Explosives team called out to Round Green after suspected cannonball discovered
Beds Police has called in an explosives team after a suspected cannonball was found in the Round Green area of Luton.

Hitchin Road is currently closed between Stopsley Way and Stockingstone Road as officers deal with the incident.
A Beds Police spokesman said: "We were called at approximately 10.30am to reports of what is believed to be a cannonball, which had been found on a nearby construction site.
"The road is currently closed between Stopsley Way and Stockingstone Road.
"A cordon has been put in place and the explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) team have been called as a precaution."
