Police are appealing for information after a firearm was discharged in Luton on Monday evening.
At approximately 6.45pm a gun was fired at a property in Olympic Close.
No-one was injured in the incident.
Detective Sergeant Emma Langwith, investigating, said: “This is of course an unsettling incident, however, we don’t believe there is a wider risk to the public.
“We are calling on members of the community to help us, by contacting us if they witnessed anyone acting suspiciously in Olympic Close at around the time of the event, or if they know who and why the gun was fired.”
“We will have a heightened police presence in the area on Friday, but I’d like to reassure the community that this is part of a Forcewide crime initiative, rather than as a result of this incident.”
