Inquest opened after sudden death of man in Wigmore Park


An inquest has been opened after the sudden death of a man in Wigmore Park, Luton, on Sunday afternoon.

The man has been named as Ian Morris, 36, of Chiltern Road, Dunstable.

His cause of death is not yet known but police are not treating the incident as suspicious.

A Beds Police spokesperson said: “We were called to reports of a sudden death at the park shortly after 3.30pm on Sunday (1 November).

“The death is not being treated as suspicious and has been passed to the coroner.”

An inquest was opened today and adjourned to a later date.
