Luton Airport hotel assault: man charged with attempted murder


Police have charged a man with attempted murder in connection with an incident at a Luton hotel.

Bedfordshire Police attending following reports a man was acting suspiciously in the Hampton by Hilton hotel near Luton airport shortly after 9pm on Sunday .

The victim, in his 30s, had serious head injuries and was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

Reinis Bupolins, 21, from Latvia was arrested at the scene and taken to Luton Police Station for questioning.

On Monday he was charged with attempted murder and a further count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm against another man.
