Luton burglar jailed for over two years after raids on two homes

A burglar from Luton has been jailed for two years after twice breaking into homes in the town.

Marvin Warmington, 45, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to two break-ins in Luton earlier this year.

On April 14, Warmington crept into a home in Cutenhoe Road through an unsecure garage door and stole a laptop.

He also pleaded guilty to a burglary in Bradley Road on May 23. On this occasion, he forced open the front door and stole a wallet containing the victim's bank card, passport and a stash of cash.

He then used the stolen bank cards to withdraw £700.

Warmington was captured on CCTV, and identified by witnesses and police officers.

He has now been jailed for a total of two years and five months for two counts of burglary and four counts of fraud.

Detective Constable Jason Wheeler said: “Our team is dedicated to crack down on burglary and we are satisfied with the result.
