Luton man brutally beaten in his home by masked gang wielding machetes

Police are hunting a masked gang of around eight men who brutally beat up a man in his home in Luton.

The attack took place in Biscot Road between 2am and 2.30am yesterday morning (Sunday).

The gang entered the victim's flat and launched a vicious assault, leaving him with serious injuries which required hospital treatment.

The offenders are described as a group of eight men wearing balaclavas.

Some of the men were seen to be carrying what are believed to be machetes.

Following the incident, the group fled the scene, with some leaving in a white BMW.

PC Jim McKeane said: “This type of incident will understandably be of concern to our communities.

“I would like to reassure our residents that we do believe this was an isolated incident.

“We are keen to speak to anyone who might have witnessed anything at the time, or saw the group of men or a white BMW around the time of the incident.”
