Luton man charged with terrorism
A man arrested in Luton on Wednesday last week by officers investigating suspected terrorism offences has been charged.
Mubashir Jamil, 21 of Belmont Road, Luton appeared in custody at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 2 May charged with preparation of terrorist acts.
He is charged with attempting to travel to Syria - contrary to section 5(1) of the Terrorism Act 2006.
