Man arrested in Luton after alcohol stolen from shop 400 miles away in Scotland

A man has been arrested in Luton after allegedly stealing a stash of alcoholic spirits from a shop over 400 miles away in Scotland.

Luvians Bottle Shop in Market Street, St Andrews, was broken into in the early hours on Sunday, May 24.

Following an investigation, two properties were searched in Luton.

The 31-year-old, whose name has not yet been released, was arrested with the help of Bedfordshire Police.

He is due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court today (Monday).
