Man assaulted and robbed in Luton

Police are investigating after a man was assaulted and robbed in Kingsway, Luton, on Sunday morning.

At around 4.10am a man was near the Connaught Road junction in Kingsway when he was approached by two men travelling in a light coloured Vauxhall Astra.

The two men assaulted the victim before stealing his phone, keys and money.

The men are described as white, one is believed to be around 25-years-old and the other in his late 30s.

Detective Constable Mirian Khajavelidze, investigating, said: “I would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the vehicle in the area or any suspicious behaviour.

“This was a violent and completely unprovoked attack. Anyone with any information that could help us find the people responsible are asked to contact us.”
