Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted and robbed outside Luton Airport.

The 21-year-old victim was punched several times by a group of three men who stole his phone outside the main terminal of the airport, shortly before 5am on Saturday.

The victim also suffered a cut to his wrist during the incident, which caused him to bleed heavily.

Detective constable Gill Cowley said: “I would appeal to anyone who witnessed this incident or saw a group of three men, all dressed in black, hanging around the area on Saturday, to call police.”

If you have information call DC Cowley 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
