Man robbed at knifepoint in Luton park

Police are investigating after a man was robbed at knifepoint while walking through a park in Luton on Saturday.

The incident happened at around 7.30pm as the victim passed through the park in Runley Road.

A man approached him with a knife demanding money and made off with his mobile phone.

The offender is described as black, around six foot tall and skinny.

He was wearing a black knee length puffa coat with a black fur hood.

Detective Constable Richard Marshall said: “This brazen robbery happened in the early evening so we are appealing to anyone who was in the area at this time or is able to help us identify the offender to please get in touch.

"Any information, no matter how small, can help us with our enquiries.”
