Man seriously injured after stabbing in Bury Park

Emergency services were called to the scene at about 3.50pm to reports that a man in his 20s had suffered stab wounds.

He was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

The offenders were described as two Asian men, in their early 20s, who were both wearing dark hooded jackets.

Detective Sergeant Ben Stone, investigating, said: “This was a busy area and I’m sure a number of people will have seen what happened. We’re particularly keen to speak to any motorists who may have dash cam footage of the incident, and I would urge anyone with any information to come forward.”

Part of the road will remain closed while the investigations continue.
