Police appeal after woman sexually assaulted in Luton

A woman was sexually assaulted in Luton while walking down a street yesterday morning.

The attack happened as the woman passed through Brooklands Close at approximately 8.30am on Thursday, June 30.

She was approached by a man who sexually assaulted her.

Detective Constable Gillian Cowley said: “This was a completely unprovoked and shocking crime. The man is described as mixed race, in his late 20s, slim, with a cropped Afro hair style.

“He is described as having a rugged face with a scar or deep wrinkle under his right eye. He was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms and a tracksuit top with a blue, grey, and white triangle pattern on it, and was riding a black pushbike.”
