A man was stabbed in the neck following an altercation in the Kingsway area at around 5.45pm.

The incident is believed to have started outside the communal doors at the rear of Erin Court, in Erin Close, before the victim was chased by a group of Asian men towards Dunstable Road.

Two further men later presented themselves at Luton and Dunstable Hospital requiring medical treatment for stab wounds.

It is believed these injuries could be as a result of a subsequent assault.

Detective Constable Stephen Francis, investigating, said: “This is a serious incident that has left three people requiring medical treatment and who fortunately weren’t more seriously injured.

“Knife crime is never tolerated and we stress the danger it inflicts on our communities.

“We are urging anyone who witnessed the incident, or who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time, to contact us immediately.”
