Ryanair flight from Luton forced to divert after drunken stag do row

Six men were thrown off the Luton-Bratislava flight in Berlin on Friday night, after allegedly becoming aggressive when cabin crew refused to sell them alcohol.

The group– who are said to be from Southampton and aged between 25 and 28– were arrested by German police on their arrival at Schoenefeld Airport, Berlin.

They face fines of up to £20,000 each under the Aviation Security Act, alongside possible civil claims from the airline .

A Ryanair spokesperson said: “We will not tolerate unruly or disruptive behaviour at any time and the safety and comfort of our customers, crew and aircraft is our number one priority.

“This is now a matter for local police.”

Footage of the fracas shows one man swearing at another, before throwing a punch at him.

Another man exposed himself during the fight, passengers have also said.

One eyewitness said: “One of the very drunken members of the group tried to stop the fight but was unsuccessful. That’s when the cabin crew said we need to stop off in Berlin.”
