Saima Kahn: Sister appears in court charged with murder

The sister of a murdered woman has appeared in court charged with her death.

Mother-of-four Saima Khan, 34, was murdered in her home on Overstone Road, Luton, on Monday May 23.

Officers were called to the scene at 11.30pm by the ambulance service, after Mrs Khan was reportedly found by family members returning from a funeral.

Last night police charged Sabah Khan, 26, also of Overstone Road, with Saima’s murder.

This morning Ms Khan appeared at Luton Magistrates’ Court, where she spoke only to confirm her name.

Ms Khan, who kept her head bowed during the short hearing, will next appear at Luton Crown Court on June 6.

She has been remanded in custody.
