A man in his 20s and a 17-year-old boy were arrested at the scene on suspicion of possession with intent to supply crack cocaine. They have been released on bail.

Drugs, paraphernalia and weapons recovered.

A woman at the address was also safeguarded.

Sergeant Jamie Harrison said: “At present our community teams are managing the policing of coronavirus, which is a huge challenge in itself.

“But this job illustrates that we will not ignore victims of exploitation and are working hard to still deliver our usual service to the communities we serve.

“The officers involved here dealt with a dangerous and volatile situation calmly, closed down a 'drugs den' and safeguarded a vulnerable woman in doing so.”
