Disabled Hatters take crown

Two newly created teams of disabled footballers '“ the Hatters and Boaters '“ took part in the FA Disability League Cup. The Hatters came out as champions and were crowned at Luton Town's home game against Yeovil on Tuesday.

The teams were created thanks to a partnership between Luton Town FC Community Trust and the council.

Over the past year, the club has been working with the council’s New Horizons programme, which supports adults with a learning difficulty, to offer new oppportunities for people with a disability to take part in sport.
