A welcome pack containing toiletries, tinned foods and children’s toys is given to residents when they arrive at a community housing project providing energency and temporary accommodation for the vulnerable and homeless.
Luton Community Housing – which has five hostels, including a mother and baby unit – is now seeking donations to help fill the packs.
Spokesman James Kesterton said: “They contain toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, soaps, tinned foods, shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, flannels and some children’s toys for residents in the mother and baby unit .
“They’re a good way to welcome people and help them settle in and every little helps us continue to go forward.”
