Dr Beverley Ballcrusher and Faye duet

LOCAL celebrity Faye Tozer made a surprise appearance at Luton’s biggest gay venue to support contestants in the final of Flame’s seventh annual F Factor Competition.

The former Northfields School pupil sang a duet with special guest judge Dr Beverley Ballcrusher (right). Their take on the Steps’ hit The Way You Make Me Feel left the crowd amazed.

Ten would-be stars battled it out to win the singing competition at the Wellington Street club on Sunday March 18.

Winners Jaymi Hensley & Sarah Kelly from Luton walked away with a cash prize after wowing the audience with their version of Listen, from the film Dreamgirls.

Entries covered past and present chart songs as well as musicals and a show-stopping rendition of Olivia Newton John’s Physical by runner-up Brian Farrington of Luton.

He generously donated his winnings to Keech Hospice Care.

Other entrants received cash prizes and VIP nights out at Luton’s most popular gay venue.

Singing sensation Faye, who still has relatives in the Dunstable area, is in town for final rehearsals for The Ultimate Tour, celebrating the 1990s pop group Steps’ 10 year reunion,
