A Dunstable teenager will play the part of Valentine in Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night at Tring Park School for the Performing Arts.
India Foskett of Great Northern Road will be following in the footsteps of former pupil Lily James, now treading the boards at the Garrick Theatre in Romeo and Juliet.
The 17-year-old will also be singing in the production which marks the 400th anniverary of the Bard’s death.
She said: “I get a buzz from performing in front of a live audience and my ambition is to be a singer or an actor.
“I’ve really enjoyed the musical element, part-singing within a group. It’s been composed for the show and I hope it will make the story more accessible to those who perhaps aren’t used to Shakespeare.”
> Twelfth Night takes place on July 1 and 2 on the back lawn at the former Rothschild Mansion House at the school. More info at www,tringpark.com
