ebook is in aid of Help for Heroes

Now he’s written an ebook to coincide with the centenary of World War One and he’s donating all profits to Help for Heroes.

The father-of-two, from Delco Way in Dunstable, said The Luckiest Man Alive is about a Hatters supporter called Des, looking out to sea in 1964 and remembering how 50 years earlier, while serving in the Royal Navy, a tiny twist of fate had saved his life.

“It’s only 7,500 words and it’s available on Amazon for £1.53,” he said. “I’ve never been in the forces but those people were prepared to put down their lives for us so I hope I can raise some money towards Help for Heroes.”

Graham’s wife Hazel is an avid reader and she spurred him on by saying it was as good as anything she’d ever read.

He’s a member of Luton Writers Group, enjoys penning short stories – “That way you don’t have time to get fed up” – and particularly likes fiction that has a sting in the tail.

His favourite authors are Frederick Forsyth and Jeffrey Archer.
