Eight men arrested in High Town drugs raid

Eight men were arrested in High Town this morning as part of a major drugs crackdown.

Warrants have been carried out at 10 addresses in the High Town area of Luton this morning as part of an ongoing investigation into the supply of Class A drugs in the area.

A total of eight men were arrested during the raids, which began at 7.15am. The men are currently being held at Luton and Kempston custody facilities for questioning.

The activity was carried out by the Eastern Region Special Operations Unit (ERSOU), supported by the National Crime Agency (NCA) and local police, including authorised firearms officers.

The investigation is not terror-related, and increased patrols are being carried out in the area for community reassurance.
