Firefighters put out a fire in Dunstable after fly-tipped waste was set alight.

Just after 3pm on Monday (September 2), a crew from Dunstable was called to investigate reports of smoke in Spoondell. The firefighters used a hose reel to put out a fire started among fly-tipped waste.

Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “The cause of the fire was deliberate. Once the fire was extinguished, the crew reported this and another close-by collection of fly-tipped waste to the council.”
