One person was taken to hospital following an incident in Luton this morning.
A heavy emergency services response was present around Hibbert Street and Tavistock Road from around 7am.
One member of the public said: “The road has reopened and police have been questioning house to house.
“The incident started just before 7am. One person was seriously ill as a CPR machine was used and police closed Hibbert Street from the traffic lights to Tavistock Street.
“Ambulance crews were here for over an hour with the patient on the pavement.”
A Bedfordshire Police spokesman said: “We were called by the ambulance service to reports of concern for a man’s welfare.
“The road was sealed and officers assisted with crowd control. Officers spoke to residents and a shopkeeper to see if they knew the man
“The man was taken to hopital by ambulance at 8.16am.”
