Classic cars draw the crowds

Work to encourage more visitors to Dunstable Town Centre just got a bit classier!

The success of Sunday’s Morgan Car Club show in the Square in Dunstable has encouraged organisers to set up more events.

There was a fabulous selection of pristine examples of Morgan cars and the star of the show was certainly little dog Millie with her goggles, pictured right.

The Dunstable Joint Committee (comprising councillors from Central Beds & Dunstable Town Councils, representatives from local businesses and local organisations) is promoting its joint working with some initiatives for the town.

One such project is to set up a programme of classic car displays on the square on a regular basis for next year, to create some items of interest to attract more residents and visitors to the town.

Another crowd pleaser was the Peacocks Valuation Day which drew a constant stream of residents to the marquee on the square, wanting to enquire about their antiques and valuables .
