Members of Central Bedfordshire Council’s executive committee have voted to extend the Local Development Order (LDO) for the Woodside Industrial Estate in Dunstable for a further five years.

A CBC spokesman said: "LDOs allow businesses to make minor alterations to their premises or change to certain other business uses without the need to formally apply for planning permission.

"During consultation, businesses welcomed the LDO as it will allow them to refurbish ageing premises more quickly and at lower cost."
