The Environment Agency has issued a flood warning in Luton after heavy rainfall.
The affected area includes Toddington Road, and parts of New Bedford Road and Austin Road.
An Environment Agency spokesman said: “Following this morning’s heavy rainfall, the river levels on the River Lee at Toddington Road in Luton have risen rapidly.
“We believe this is due to a blockage of the trash pins at Toddington Road.
“We have teams on their way to investigate the situation and will clear any blockage present. Further heavy rainfall is forecast today.
“River levels may to continue rise as a result of this blockage, but should fall sharply once our teams have managed to clear it. This information will be updated this afternoon.”
