The incident took place in a Luton home on Wednesday, May 5.

A Beds Fire and Rescue spokesman said: "Members of Luton Green Watch had their work cut out this morning to rescue a feline friend that was trapped inside a cavity wall.

"Fortunately they were able to get eyes on with use of a mobile phone to pinpoint the exact location. Kitty, thankfully was rescued without injury.

"Please be mindful of any exposed holes around the home that your small pets can get in to, as they may not always be able to get out."
