First flight to Iceland takes off from Luton

GLACIERS and geysers are now just a short hop away with the inaugural flight today (March 27) of easyJet’s new Luton to Iceland route.

Flights to Rekjavik’s Keflavik airport operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, and the winter season goes on sale on Thursday (March 29).

Paul Simmons, easyJet’s UK Director, said: “We are thrilled our first flight to Iceland has taken off from London Luton Airport today and are pleased with the fantastic response we have received from passengers.

“EasyJet’s pledge is to make travel easy and affordable and this new route will help boost business and leisure travel to and from Iceland.”
