Four new deputies appointed
FOUR new deputy lieutenants of Bedfordshire have been appointed.
Sir Samuel Charles Whitbread KCVO, HM Lord Lieutenant of Bedfordshire, signed the commissions for Rosie Gutteridge JP DL, Major Simon Nigel Swinburne Sadler TD DL, Professor Leslie Colin Ebdon CBE DL, and Louise Rona Russell, Duchess of Bedford DL.
Deputy lieutenants assist the Lord Lieutenant in work to support voluntary and community activities in Bedfordshire. They also participate in civic and social activities and armed forces events.
