Free training to become a carer

A Luton business is offering 30 free places to anyone wishing to train for work in the care sector.

Home Instead Senior Care owner Maria Collins said: “Our service is companionship-based so people don’t need to have experience. What’s really important is the right attitude and a caring and empathetic nature.

“We match clients and caregivers based on shared interests.”

After completing their initial training, carers will become eligible to receive the nationally-recognised care certificate and can go on to further their qualifications with, for example, a bespoke Alzheimer’s Care Training Programme which is accedited by City & Guilds.
