Get set for Cancer Research UK’s annual Race for Life

Luton ladies are being urged to get the New Year off to a good start by signing up for Race for Life 2015.

The 5km women-only event is taking place at Stockwood Park on Sunday, June 5.

Last year more than 1,900 took part and raised a whopping £92,000. This year the stakes are higher – organiser Cara Waller has her sights set on 2,300 striding out, helping to beat her £134,000 target.

She said: “Five people are diagnosed with cancer every hour in the South East. That’s why we’re calling on the brave ladies of Luton to show their fighting spirit once more and take on cancer at this year’s event.”
