Get the kids egg-cited for Easter!

EASTER is coming and so are the school holidays – and after the last few weeks of sunshine we’ve all got our fingers crossed for a scorching break to get the kids out and about.

The fun begins on Sunday (April 1) at Wrest Park with an Easter egg trail for the whole family to enjoy. Children can search the grounds for clues to complete the trail, and find the missing eggs for a delicious chocolaty treat at the end.

There is plenty of space for children to play, plus a café and exhibition centre for the adults. The trail runs until April 15 and is open from 11am until 5pm daily.

For a more educational experience – or in case the sun doesn’t shine – perhaps a visit to Stockwood Discovery Centre is what your kids need.

Their brand new DinoMites - The A-Z of Dinosaurs exhibition opens today (March 29) and runs right through until November.

The exciting new display features a range of dinosaurs and gives an insight into the life cycles of smaller species from birth to death.

Stockwood will host another event over the break – the annual Easter weekend country fair. Enjoy a taste of the country on April 8 and 9, with activities such as rural life demonstrations, an animal petting farm, farmers’ market stalls and a bouncy castle.
