Last week was the 20th anniversary of easyJet’s first flight from Luton to Glasgow, and more than 130 of the airline’s earliest staff gathered at Putteridge Bury on Saturday, November 14 to mark the milestone.

Tony Anderson was easyJet’s marketing director who travelled on the first flight and organised the reunion event. He said: “I’m really proud to have been part of the start-up team and to see how far the airline has come. Back in 1995 the so-called aviation experts laughed at our little orange airline with two rented planes shuttling up and down to Scotland for £29. No-one’s laughing now!”
