Got the gift of the gab? Actors wanted for Luton's Monologue Slam!

Budding actors of stage and screen are being sought after to audition this week for an exciting show at Luton's Hat Factory.

Monologue Slam UK is nationwide celebration of the powers of the orator.

Actors are asked to perform a one or three minute monologue of their choice for the auditions.

Those chosen will perform at the Monologue Slam UK showcase at Luton Library Theatre on Friday 20 May.

At last year’s Luton Monologue Slam, Michael Bunani (pictured above) was spotted by an acting agent and is soon to feature in his first advert.

A spokesman for Luton Culture said: “This such a good opportunity for Luton actors to get spotted. We really hope people come forward and give it their best shot.”

There will be two separate audition days for adults and children.

Auditions for 11-18 year olds take place at The Hat Factory on April 15, with one-hour time slots at 4.30pm and 6.15pm.

Auditions for adults happen on April 16, also at the Hat Factory, an one-hour time slots available from 10am to 6pm.
