Hallowe’en frights raise charity cash
The Dunstable branch of the eye specialist raised £120 through frightening fundraising activities, face painting and a cake stall.
Staff dressed in ghoulish costumes, below left, to host the day, which also included a children’s colouring competition for the chance to win a Hallowe’en goody bag.

Hide AdThe money will help Kids In Action – based in Tavistock Street, Dunstable – to offer more holidays, outings and leisure activities for disabled and disadvantaged children.
And at Stockwood Discovery Centre in Luton on Friday, staff got into the Hallowe’en spirit, welcoming youngsters, pictured top and far right, who enjoyed apple bobbing and spooky craft activities, and also brought along their own carved and decorated pumpkins to show off.
