Happiness is a cosy hat for a cold child
It takes a lot to make little Leeza smile. But when Operation Christmas Child visited her family on a bleak farm in Belarus, she beamed from ear to ear when she realised the shoebox of lovingly packed presents was all for her.
She fell in love with a cosy hat which she put on immediately and wouldn’t take off. Her younger brother Zhenya was equally delighted with a bubble gun.
The siblings are just two of thousands of needy children who benefit from Operation Christmas Child – the annual campaign run by Samaritan’s Purse to send shoeboxes full of gifts to vulnerable youngsters in the Third World.
