Hats off to Ascot at ladies racy day
Forty fabulous females dressed up to the nines for the Alternative Ascot Ladies Day.
It wasn’t quite a racecourse setting – it all went ahead in the Froth ‘n’ Elbow pub.

Hide AdBut Ascot’s bevy of beauties couldn’t have enjoyed themselves more than Dunstable’s glam girls.
Champagne and strawberries were on hand, and there was much cheering and jumping around as the guests followed the races live on TV.
Boadicea’s Boutique ran the lookalike race day to raise cash for new chemotherapy equipment for the Luton & Dunstable Hospital’s Macmillan Cancer Unit.
The Dunstable boutique, in West Street, was set up to raise funds for the unit and the breast screening clinic for the area.

Hide AdShop volunteer Julie Neale said: “It was fantastic. Everybody looked as if they were going to Ascot, they had really pushed the boat out with their hats, shoes, dresses and handbags. They looked so glamorous!”
Prizes were given for the best outfits and accessories, and a raffle was held to boost the fundraising kitty.

Bunting led the pensioners to the action, and they enjoyed supporting the horse racing on the television.
