Lukas Jutkiewicz put the visitors in front early on and although James Collins levelled from the penalty spot just after the hour mark, Gary Gardner won it for City just seven minutes later. To find out how the Hatters rated, see below.
9. Harry Cornick: 5
After causing Bournemouth so many problems last weekend he was unable to create anywhere neat that kind of impact this time. Too often left chasing lost causes as he was well marshalled by the vistors' back-line.
10. James Collins: 6
Little issue in converting a ninth of the season from the spot, but that was pretty much his only sight of goal. Forced to drop too deep or wide in search of the ball, as decent service into the area was at a premium.
11. Dan Potts (SUB): 4
Back from injury to replace Bree at the break, but his ill-advised turn on half-way gave Blues possession as they broke with ease to retake the lead and puncture any optimism Town had.
12. George Moncur (SUB): 6.5
Just coming off the bench seemed to give Town and the home supporters a real boost. Got Luton up the pitch with some forceful runs as he always looked capable of making something happen.
