Helen crusies to Leader award

Helen Caron, distribution and cruise director at TUI won the Leader Award, sponsored by Kuoni, awarded to a woman making a significant contribution to the strategic direction of the business.

Helen is a member of the TUI UK Board and has accountability for the strategy and delivery of sales for all UK-related brands, achieving total revenue of approximately £5.5bn.

Her diverse role includes additional responsibility for the Thomson Cruise business, the UK’s third largest cruise line, where she has delivered record growth of 36 per cent over the past three years, eliminating all winter season losses.

The winners were selected by a judging panel comprising some of the travel industry’s most senior figures including Rachel O’Reilly, head of communications at Kuoni and Jo Rzymowska, vice-president and managing director, UK and Ireland & Asia at Celebrity Cruises.
