HMV opens its doors in The Mall

The new store is located next to Carphone Warehouse and will house 5,250 DVDs, 1,250 blu-ray titles, 7,250 CDs and 350 LPs.

Store manager, Lauren Walker, said: “It was a great opening day and I look forward to many more years of successful trade to come at HMV Luton.

“We’ve received some really supportive comments from customers who were just as happy as us to have HMV back in Luton.”

The Mall shoppers were pleased to have HMV back, Jade Thakrar said: “I am very happy that HMV has reopened in Luton.

“Many people struggle to buy CDs and DVDs, especially people who do not have the internet, so it is great to be able to go into a shop and look around before you buy. It also means that you don’t have to wait for it to be delivered.”

Mark Broadhead, The Mall’s general manager, said: “We are delighted that HMV are back in The Mall as it was a sorely missed retailer for our customers and it is great that they are back just in time for Christmas.”
