Hoping competition bid will blossom

HARLINGTON launched its bid for the Anglia in Bloom Awards 2012 with the planting of a new rowan tree in the village orchard.

The sorbus aucuparia was donated by Dingly Dell Nursery, which also supported Harlington in Bloom in 2011, when it won a silver gilt award in the large village category.

Harlington in Bloom chairman David Barrick said: “It was good to have such lovely weather for the launch of this year’s campaign and we hope the village will continue with their support.
